Demiral, the winner for January, has to make way for a new Player of the Month Ruslan Malinovskyi, who gets a brace, winning the award again after his success in December!
Thanks to his outstanding displays, Ruslan Malinovskyi is named again as Player of the Month, the initiative sponsored by ItalianOptic. It wasn’t easy for the fans to make a choice in the final head to head, though. The Ukrainian player won over Teun Koopmeiners, who surely deserves to be mentioned, too. The Dutch midfielder proved himself in February as a flexible player and, especially, as the one with exquisite technical skills that keep on thrilling the Nerazzurri fans. Fantastic displays, two assists and a brace against Sampdoria – these are Teun’s achievements in February that deserve the applause.
Koopmeiners was already the finalist in December when he was second behind Malinovskyi that time, too. Ruslan has well deserved the award: the Nerazzurri fans have still a vivid memory of his goal scored from a free-kick against Juventus, for which he also won the Serie A Goal of the Month award, as well as his fantastic brace in the second leg of the Europa League against Olympiacos. It was a very special brace scored on a particular day for Malinovskyi, who didn’t celebrate the first goal and showed a significant message on his t-shirt: “No War in Ukraine”.
Congratulations to Ruslan, who wins the Atalanta Player of the Month award after also winning the Serie A Player of the Month for February.
