The 2022-2023 Coppa Italia Frecciarossa draw has been defined. Atalanta are one of the seeded teams in the competition, which means that the Nerazzurri will start the competition in the Round of 16 (11 or 18 January). Due to last year’s finish in the league, Atalanta got number 8, which determines the position in the draw (the team with the lowest number will be entitled to play at home, so the round of 16 will be played at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo).

The Nerazzurri are in the top left-hand side of the draw and will have to wait for the outcome of two rounds to know their opponent in the Round of 16, which will come out of the clash between the winner of Spezia v Como and the winner of Pisa v Brescia. The other seed on top of the draw is Inter – the reigning champions – with number 1 (a potential meeting in the quarter-finals), while Juventus and Lazio are the other seeds in the lower part of the draw (a potential meeting in the semifinals).
