He made it 2-2, which was also the final result of Villarreal-Atalanta. He’s Robin Gosens, an inexhaustible engine, who found himself in the right place and at the right moment: “I’m very happy with the goal”.
What an explosion of joy there was at Robin Gosens’ goal! You scored the equaliser and deservedly made it 2-2. The draw, in the end, is the fairest result. We’ve surely seen a great Atalanta side now.
“I think the draw is fair. We struggled but we also fought hard. We created many chances in the first half and also in the second half. So, 2-2 is a fair result.”
You said you like the pressure. How much pressure did you feel in front of the goal having the ball at your feet?
“It was the time when I had to score. I’m very glad that the ball entered the goal. There’s pressure. But everyone’s under pressure. You become a football player for these moments. I’m still enjoying it. I’m very happy because the Champions League nights are special and magical. That’s why it’s incredible when you score.”
All the Atalanta fans that were watching the match on TV celebrated the goal. But we heard a roar coming from the 266 Atalanta fans at the Estadio de la Cerámica. And you scored in front of their stand.
“It was wonderful. It was my first goal of the season. Unfortunately, I haven’t scored in the League yet. But I have scored in the Champions League now. And I celebrated with the fans who were here. I hope that those at home enjoyed it with me as well. And with us. And I’m happy that now we’re many, and that we can enjoy matches even more.”
