Atalanta BC are pleased to announce the addition of Mr Tony D’Amico to the Club’s organisational chart as Sporting Director, as of 1 July 2022.

Born in Popoli and raised in Pescara, 42-year-old D’Amico is one of the emergent directors who have put themselves in the spotlight over the last few years.

After working as Head of Scouting at Hellas Verona, he took up the position of Sporting Director in the 2018/19 season.

In those four years, he contributed to the promotion of the Veronese side to Serie A, which managed to finish on the left-hand side of the table three times (ninth twice and tenth once, precisely). He gained the Club’s esteem for his management skills and ability to select and enhance the value of their players, aiming at the capitalisation of the Club.

At Atalanta, D’Amico will carry on the scouting work that has been crucial for the Club and has allowed it to grow significantly in terms of sport.
