On matchday 28 of the 2021-2022 Serie A TIM, Roma win 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico thanks to a goal from Abraham in the first half.

In the opening minutes, Demiral blocked Mkhitaryan’s powerful strike and Musso was well alert on Mancini’s header, pulling it out from under the bar. Abraham found the breakthrough in the 32nd minute when he burst into the box and drilled into the net assisted by Zaniolo. In the second half, the Nerazzurri almost equalised on 51 minutes through Freuler, who combined well with Koopmeiners but was denied by Rui Patricio. The game became hard, with several yellow cards and very few chances. The last one was in stoppages with Demiral, whose header was parried by the Giallorossi goalkeeper. Both teams ended the game down to 10 men as de Roon and Mkhitaryan were sent off.
