Roberto Piccoli is the 2019-2020 UEFA Youth League top scorer. The striker from Bergamo in fact topped the table of the top scorers of the edition that has just ended with the win of Real Madrid.

Piccoli scored 8 goals in the competitions, like Benfica’s Gonçalo Ramos, but with two games less: the Atalanta player scored them in 7 games (630′ played), while the Portuguese player scored them in 9 matches (689′ played). Roberto bagged two braces against Shakhtar Donetsk and one against Lyon and scored both in the first and the second leg against Manchester City.

In addition to an average of one goal every 78 minutes, the Nerazzurri striker was also extremely effective, as according to the official UEFA statistics, he obtained such an important haul by shooting on target only 11 times.

It’s a nice satisfaction for Roberto at the end of a season which saw him as one of the protagonists in the Atalanta Primavera, but also saw him make his third appearance in Serie A and appear on the bench in the Champions League quarter-finals.
