Palomino: “Serie A is a difficult league”

Despite being the first days of work for Atalanta, these are particularly intense as confirmed by José Luis Palomino.

The Argentine defender obviously talked about Atalanta and about EURO2020 and the Copa América, as well as the Serie A TIM league that “unveiled” its calendar.

Despite being the first days of training for Atalanta, these are particularly intense.

“We are gradually starting to train and increase our workload. But the first days were just to undergo tests and meet again. So, we’re gradually starting to work now. I missed football when I was in Argentina. But these long vacations we had were great. That did me good because I hadn’t been able to go to Argentina for two years. I had a good time there and enjoyed it a lot”.

The Serie A TIM fixture list has been unveiled. The news is that the second round is asymmetrical compared to the first legs.

“Nothing changes. We have to focus on preparing well. We have to wait for the guys who are still missing. We have to prepare well so that we can have another great season like the last few years”.

It’s a top-level Serie A as confirmed by EURO2020.

“Serie A is not easy. It’s a good league. The European championship showed that Serie A offers good football, it’s difficult. We at Atalanta are delivering important results, like finishing third. Every year is difficult, as every year we want to do better and that requires much effort”.

Argentina won the Copa América and Italy won EURO2020.

“I’m very happy because Argentina are the champions of the Copa América and then Italy also won. I’m very happy for you, for my teammates Toloi, Matteo and those who played at the European championships, for all of Italy. I was glad to see Italy be crowned European champions”.

How is José Luis Palomino doing? It’s the fifth year in the Nerazzurri shirt for you.

“I’m doing well, I can’t wait to start again. Time goes by so quickly. It’s impressive that this will be my fifth year here. I have the same desire as always: to prepare well and help the team reach the highest goals”.
