Malinovskyi is the Serie A TIM MVP for May

Before Atalanta-Milan, Ruslan Malinovskyi received the 2020-2021 Serie A TIM MVP award for the month of May. The award was presented by the Nerazzurri president Antonio Percassi. After Muriel in April, another Atalanta player deserved this important award for the second month in a row.

The ranking – reads the official statement of the Lega Serie A – was drawn up according to the statistical surveys of Stats Perform (a system patented in 2010 with K-Sport), with the help of tracking data recorded by Netco Sports. For the final calculation, matchdays from the 34th to the 37th of the 2020-2021 Serie A TIM season were considered.

Among the main features that allowed the Nerazzurri shirt number 18 to prevail over other players, the following data are highlighted:

– Top player index at European level: a technical efficiency performance of 95,8% and physical efficiency of 94,2%; with peaks of 98% in very high acceleration plays;
– Strengths: ball control and dribbling properties (K-Pass 97%);
– Effective in creating spaces and passing lanes for teammates (K-Movement at 96,3%) and capable of performing quick touches to make the most of runs into the box of his teammates (K-Solution 97,6%);
– The continuous run (he covers 121 metres per minute) and the over 70 explosive accelerations per game make him useful to intercept (Pressing 92,9%).

Ruslan Malinovskyi has proved to be one of the most decisive players of this season finale. Thanks to his ballistic skills, combined with technique and game vision, the Ukrainian playmaker has contributed 2 goals and 3 assists in the last four games, establishing himself as a key player in the tactical asset of an Atalanta side that offer memorable performances and talents for all the fans of our league.” said Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega Serie A.
