“Who is Victor Kovalenko as a football player? That is for the coaches to decide, they will say what player I am. I think I am a grateful man, always outgoing and smiling”.

What is your memory of the double Atalanta-Shakhtar match

“I remember the first match and, of course, the second one. The first one was won by Shakhtar and the second one by Atalanta”.

What is football for you?

“Football is my life, it’s a big dream that is coming true. It’s precious for me”.

What was your first impression of Bergamo?

“Bergamo is a beautiful town and I like it here”.

Did you expect to arrive a few month earlier than planned?

“In fact, I was looking forward to it and I really wanted to come here. And I am very glad this happened”.

What do you wish for your first birthday in Bergamo, on February 14th?

“I think it will be a new experience for me, to spend my birthday here. I’m happy about it”.

What did Malinovskyi tell you after you met him again?

“Yes, I spoke to Malina. We had spoken to each other about Atalanta, as well, a lot time before. [He told me about it] in general, about the conditions here and he always talks about it positively”.

What do you do when you aren’t playing football?

“In fact, it’s a very difficult question. I don’t know what I would do if there were no football”.

“I think everything that many people like: vegetables, salads, rice, pasta”.

What do you know about the Atalanta fans? 

“I know that they are big fans of football and always support the team. That’s why I’m glad to be here and I’m looking forward to seeing them”.
