JANUARY FIXTURES

If December was intense, January is no exception, indeed! In fact, the Nerazzurri will play 8 matches: 7 Serie A games and the round of 16 tie of the Coppa Italia against Cagliari. The matches could even be nine if Atalanta qualified for the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

The first two matches of 2021 will be at the Gewiss Stadium for Atalanta (two games within three days): Sunday 3 December at 15 CET they host Sassuolo, while Parma visit the Nerazzurri at the Epiphany at the same time. The week will end with the trip to Benevento on Saturday, the 9th for matchday 17 (KO 15 CET).

There will not even be room to rest, as, after that, the Nerazzurri will play two more games in Bergamo: in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia against Cagliari on Thursday 14th, kick-off at 21.15, and then for the penultimate matchday of the first half of the season, on Sunday 17 at 18 CET against Genoa.

After these two home games, Atalanta have two away games. First, they travel to the Dacia Arena to face Udinese on Wednesday 20 January at 15 CET, for the rearranged fixture of matchday 10. Then, the final trip of January will be to the ‘Giuseppe Meazza’ to face Milan on Saturday 23rd at 18 CET.

The first month of 2021 will end with a match on Sunday 31st against Lazio, which is also the first game of the second half of the season (KO 15 CET). This could also be the second match in five days at the Gewiss Stadium for the Biancocelesti: if Atalanta progressed to the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, they would face the winner between Lazio and Parma.

Happy Nerazzurri January to all of you!
