Giorgio Scalvini – the defender born in 2003 who joined Atalanta Youth Academy at the age of 12 and now is part of the first team – is one of the players that have been included in the Italy squad by coach Roberto Mancini for the training camp that is taking place at Coverciano during this international break. This is his first call-up to the Italy senior squad.

“I’m happy, I didn’t expect it – said the young Atalanta player -. It was a huge surprise, an immense joy that I want to share with my family, coach Gasperini and my teammates, the whole youth academy and the Percassi family. It’s hugely satisfying, but I know that I still have to work hard and learn a lot.”
