Gian Piero Gasperini spoke on the eve of Atalanta-Bologna, the 2021-2022 Serie A TIM matchday 2 fixture scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 28 August: “We didn’t play a great game in Turin and we acknowledged that, but I don’t think it was a matter of preparation. We weren’t able to express ourselves in the best way also because of the difficulties caused by our opponents. I hope that tomorrow we will be able to express ourselves better on the level of play. It’s going to be a particular game, as Bologna have quality, they’re proactive and create important situations. They are fast in attack and they also added Arnautović to their squad.”
Finally, he commented on the UEFA Champions League Group: “The UCL is always a particularly difficult tournament and our group is highly competitive, but it’s only fair. Villarreal are a great team, Manchester United need no introduction and Young Boys are also not easy to face. They are important teams, every game will be difficult.”
