Gian Piero Gasperini has reached his 100th victory in Serie A since he became the Nerazzurri coach.

He’s the first coach to hit such an important landmark in Atalanta’s history. There’s a statistical detail that makes this achievement even bigger and more valuable: Gasperini managed to reach this goal during his fifth season at Atalanta and after only 185 matches played in the league, having defeated all the 27 teams that they faced in Serie A at least once over these five years.

After qualifying for the Champions League, beating countless records, reaching important goals and receiving two Panchina d’Oro awards in a row, the Atalanta coach, originally from Grugliasco, has written another important page in his personal and the Club’s history with this record.
