The Nerazzurri’s pre-season officially kicked off today, as they met up this afternoon at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia. The first group of players showed up today and underwent the usual medical check-ups and physical tests in compliance with the FIGC Protocol. This first group included Tommaso Bertini, Jeremie Boga, Moustapha Cisse, Marten de Roon, Josip Iličić, Sam Lammers, Alexey Miranchuk, Luis Muriel, Juan Musso, José Palomino, Francesco Rossi, Matteo Ruggeri, Marco Sportiello, Rafael Toloi, Duván Zapata, Davide Zappacosta and Nadir Zortea. The arrival of the second group is scheduled for Thursday 7 July, again in Zingonia.

As for Davide Zappacosta, in recent days he suffered a high-grade injury of the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh with tendon involvement during an individual training session. The athlete has started his rehabilitation program and the prognosis will be established in relation to the clinical evolution.
