The single-leg tie is taking place at the Gewiss Stadium on Wednesday 12 January, with kick-off time at 14.30 CET. The winning team access the quarter-finals of the competition.

The Lagoon side face Atalanta in the Last 16 after defeating Ternana 3-1 thanks to goals from Heymans, Crnigoj and Forte (Pettinari’s goal had temporarily brought Ternana level).

The two sides played each other on matchday 15 of the 2021-2022 Serie A TIM, in which Atalanta won 4-0 thanks to a Mario Pašalić hat-trick and a goal from Koopmeiners.
