Today marks the 30th anniversary of the death of Cesare Bortolotti, Atalanta President from 1980 to 1990, who tragically died in a road accident on the night between 6 and 7 June 1990 at just 39 years of age.

In 1980 he inherited the position from his father Achille and by the time he was 30 years old, Cesare Bortolotti became Atalanta President, at the time the youngest president of professional football clubs.
“His” Atalanta qualified for the historic Cup Winners’ Cup semi-final in the 1987-1988 season.
In the photo he is together with his father Achille who also imparted to him great love for Atalanta.
