It’s the eve of Fiorentina v Atalanta, the TIMVISION Cup final kicking off at 18:00 CEST on Wednesday at the Stadio Penzo. The Atalanta Primavera are leaving for the lagoon city. Massimo Brambilla’s lads are ending this league season on a high, as they also qualified for the Scudetto playoffs.
“Yes, we’re in a good moment. We produced good displays, therefore this is a good moment, both in terms of performances and our play. We have stepped up the quality of our game and got great results that allowed us to be in the playoffs right now. Let’s see what happens in the next three games”.
The Atalanta Primavera have already faced Fiorentina this season in the league. The away fixture in Florence was won 1-0 by the Viola side, while the Nerazzurri won 2-0 at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia.
“Yes, we have an important game on Wednesday. It’s the Italian Cup final and it’s also the first cup final under my coaching. We never made it to the final in other years. It’s an important match, which we really care about, as does the whole environment. We certainly have to do well. We’re facing a good side. They’re well organized and their individual skills are good. I’m sure we can play it on a par”.
It’s the eve of this important final. How are the lads approaching this important appointment?
“The lads are doing well. Their general form is excellent. Their mood is really good. The approach to this match was soft, as there is no need to find extra motivation. On a mental level, you have to arrive with the right tension. The tension must be neither too much nor too little, otherwise, you risk blowing. I think we approached it well. We have to play, we have to do well, we have to show our play and we’ll certainly be ready”.
