Fiorentina will be Atalanta’s opponent in the 2021-2022 Coppa Italia Frecciarossa quarter-finals.
The Tuscans beat Napoli 5-2 at the Diego Armando Maradona after extra time.

Fiorentina took the lead through Vlahovic in the 41st minute and Mertens equalised for Napoli 3 minutes later. The visitors went down to 10 men in full stoppages as the goalkeeper Dragowski was sent off.

In the second half, the Viola restored their lead through Biraghi in the 57th minute. Napoli went down to 9, as both Lozano (39′) and Fabian Ruiz (48) saw red. Despite being one man down, Petagna brought Napoli level in the 50th minute.

In the extra time, Fiorentina added three goals, which came from Venuti, Piatek and Maleh respectively.

The quarter-finals will also be a single-leg fixture and by virtue of the entry position on the board (the Nerazzurri have the lowest number, 4), Atalanta will host the match. The knockout fixture is scheduled for 9 February at the moment.
