On matchday 33 of the 2020-2021 Serie A TIM, Atalanta win 5-0 over Bologna at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.
It was a great first half from the Nerazzurri as Muriel forced a save from Skorupski in the 5th minute. Then Bologna got dangerous twice with Skov Olsen (an 8 and 12) but Gollini did well to beat both efforts away. The deadlock was broken in the 22nd minute: Muriel and Malinovskyi combined and then the Ukrainian midfielder drilled into the far bottom corner. One minute later and after a great solo move, Muriel stroke the post. After several attempts from Malinovksyi and Muriel, the Nerazzurri doubled their lead in the final minutes of the first half: Danilo brought down Romero inside the box and Muriel scored from the spot to make it 2-0.
In the second half, Bologna went down to ten men in the 49th minute: Schouten was shown a straight red card after a bad foul on Romero. Muriel then fired off target on 52 after he burst into the box. Freuler made it 3-0 in the 57th minute, who did well to win the ball on the edge of the Bologna area and beat the goalkeeper. Two minutes later and a fourth was added: another great play from Malinovskyi found Zapata who smashed it into the top corner. Miranchuk then made it 5-0 on 73 with a left-foot finish into the near bottom corner. In the final minutes, Djimsiti almost scored a sixth after he had also gone past the goalkeeper but his shot was cleared off the line by Danilo. It ended 5-0 at the Gewiss Stadium, the Nerazzurri now have climbed up to second place with 68 points, waiting for the match between Milan and Lazio.
