In the rearranged fixture of the 2021-2022 Serie A TIM matchday 20, it ends 4-4 at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo against Torino.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 4th minute through Sanabria assisted by Praet (the Nerazzurri protested for a potential foul on Djimsiti in the build-up). Atalanta’s reaction didn’t take long to arrive and Muriel calmly converted the penalty earned by Zappacosta. The Nerazzurri turned it around in the 23rd minute, as de Roon smashed into the roof of the net from Muriel’s corner to make it 2-1. Torino were also given a penalty and Lukic fired the spot-kick home on 36 minutes, making it all square again.
In the second half, Lukic restored Torino’s lead from another penalty in the 63rd minute and a fourth goal was added for the Granata on 67 minutes, as Freuler unluckily scored an own goal from Sanabria’s cross. Pašalić ran onto a Muriel through ball and beat the on-rushing goalkeeper in the 78th minute to pull one back. The comeback was completed in the 84th minute, as Zima’s handball produced a penalty that was calmly converted by Muriel.
