On matchday 11 of the 2021-2022 Serie A TIM, it ends 2-2 at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo against Lazio: de Roon’s equalizer in stoppages was decisive.
Lazio took the lead on 18 minutes through Pedro, who turned in the follow up from Musso’s save on Immobile. It was an intense game but there weren’t many goalscoring chances in the first half. Zapata made it all square in stoppages after shaking off Marusic and beating Reina from a tight angle with a fierce shot.
The second half was also hard fought, as after ten minutes Musso had to parry Immobile’s shot and Zappacosta’s curler was blocked by a defender. The visitors got back in front on 74 minutes through Immobile. Musso denied Moro in the 82nd minute and Muriel drilled just wide from the edge of the box four minutes later. Malinovskyi then hit the side-netting in the 90th minute. The Nerazzurri finally got the equalizer on 94 minutes when Demiral flicked on Freuler’s cross for de Roon, who scored with a very difficult yet well-taken half-volley to make it 2-2. That was the final scoreline of the match.
