On matchday 25 of the 2021-2022 Serie A TIM, it ends 1-1 against Juventus at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, after the victory fades away in stoppage time at the end of a great performance from the Nerazzurri.
The match opened up with Vlahovic’s shot which tested Sportiello within three minutes and a curler from Dybala that was inches wide on 14 minutes. The Nerazzurri promptly reacted to it in the 25th minute through de Roon, whose attempt was just off target. Szczesny rushed off his line in the 31st minute to tackle Koopmeiners, Muriel collected the ball and shot at goal but Bonucci cleared off the line. Before half-time, De Ligt made two desperate blocks to deny Boga and there was a complaint about a potential handball on the first attempt.
De Roon’s long-range shot tested the goalkeeper in the opening minutes of the second half. Then Sportiello pulled off a mega save on Vlahovic a few minutes later. It was a lively match and it was Malinovskyi to find the breakthrough in the 76th minute with a wonderful left-foot rocket on Freuler’s short free-kick. The Nerazzurri almost doubled their lead through Hateboer, who hit the bar from close range. Juventus pushed hard to find an equaliser, which arrived through Danilo in the 92nd minute from a corner.
