Atalanta win the Supercoppa Primavera TIM by beating Fiorentina 3-1, here are the interviews with the three Nerazzurri scorers of the match: Alessandro Cortinovis, Olaf Kobacki and Lukas Vorlicky.
Kobacki: “I was very happy that I could put the team back in front, as it was all square. I think it was an important goal, but it was more important to win for the team”.
You scored an incredible goal!
“I really liked it! I dribbled past some players and scored an important goal. I don’t know what to say, I’m very happy”.
Also, you’re making this interview in Italian, you said you’d be struggling, but you’re doing well actually.
“Yes, I’ve been here at Atalanta for three years and a half now, and this is also my first trophy. I’m even prouder for the team and everything that goes with it. It was important to move on because we hadn’t started that well in the Primavera, but now that we won the Supercoppa we can go even further in the league.”
Cortinovis: “We missed playing, because we haven’t been playing for so long, it’s paining to train without having a purpose, a goal to achieve. It was tough. We got to this match having the right mentality, and with an incredible desire to win. In fact, we managed to bring the trophy home”.
You broke the deadlock, you were very happy and your celebration was quite unusual.
“I wanted to show off my new whisker, as I want to make it my trademark together with my long hair”.
Alessandro, that you’re a good group can also be seen from these things. You get together, you have fun and express joy for this deserved win.
“A win like this helps to strengthen the group even more, indeed. I think it’s fundamental for the remaining of the season, this win was really fundamental”.
Now a real tour de force awaits you, as you went from not playing at all to playing an endless run of games.
“Yes, but it’s better like this. The more we play, the better it is for us, young players. We can’t wait to resume playing and then never stop”.
Is there someone you’d like to dedicate this win to?
“I dedicate this win to Willy Braciano, who was one of my teammates, and who’s having some problems right now. So, I dedicate this win to him”.
Vorlicky: “I think it was important for us to show a good display and play until the end. I’ve been looking for what I did in the third goal all game, but I wasn’t able to do that in the first half, as it was a difficult match. Then, luckily, I managed to do it once and I also scored. So, I’m happy that I’ve also helped the team with the third goal.
It was a difficult match because Fiorentina worried you and they put you in difficulty, as even Fiorentina tried to win this match.
“Yes, I was even surprised by it. I had never played Fiorentina, so I didn’t know them, but I didn’t expect it to be that difficult, as we ran a lot, and the pitch was also difficult. It was tough, but I believe that we have some quality players, who you don’t often see in other teams in the league, and we proved it”.
A tour de force is up next, as you haven’t played for a few months, but now you’ll have a good run of games to play.
“Yes, we haven’t played for so long, especially myself, as I’ve just got back from an injury, after breaking my cruciate ligament last season, so I haven’t been playing for almost 2 years. That’s why it was even more satisfying to be here today and to have fun”.
