On matchday 6 of the 2022-2023 Serie A TIM, the match against Cremonese ends 1-1 in a packed Gewiss Stadium.
Muriel had the first chance of the game after five minutes but Radu made the save. On 15 minutes, Toloi’s sliding tackle denied Dessers and then Musso was tested by Escalante. It was a cagey affair in the first half, Koopmeiners tried to find the breakthrough in the 23rd minute with a left-foot shot but Radu pulled off a flying save to deny him. Just before half-time, both sides had chances through Sernicola and Lookman but both finishes went wide.
On 64 minutes Koopmeiners had the ball in the net from a ferocious free-kick but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review for an Okoli handball. It was a free kick that broke the deadlock on 74 minutes though, as Demiral nodded in from Koopmeiners’ set piece for the opener. However, in the 78th minute, Cremonese equalised through Valeri, who turned the rebound in from Musso’s save on Ascacibar. Atalanta pushed hard to restore their lead, with a Zortea shot first and then with an angled drive from Okoli, but Radu blocked both attempts.
