On the 2022-2023 Primavera 1 TIM “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” championship Week 3 fixture, Roma win 4-1 at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia.
It was a balanced start to the game with a couple of De Nipoti’s efforts that were charged down by the visiting defenders. The first real chance came on 32 minutes with Volpato, whose angled drive from a good position was wide. Atalanta retaliated in the 38th minute, with Palestra setting up Fisic for a back-heel shot that was off target. In the 41st minute, Cherubini smashed the crossbar with a great finish and Roma eventually took the lead at the end of the first half when Volpato’s shot went into the roof of the net.
Ten minutes into the second half and Roma doubled their lead through Satriano. But just a minute later, De Nipoti made his way through the Giallorossi defence and pulled one back for Atalanta. However, Pisilli made it 3-1 for Roma in the 58th minute with a powerful shot that skimmed the crossbar and went in. In the final minutes, Cassano added another to make it 4-1.
The Primavera side will be back on the pitch on Friday for an away match against Juventus.
