Atalanta and Milan shared the spoils at the Gewiss Stadium after the Bergamo outfit took the lead in the first half through Malinovskyi and the Rossoneri equalised in the second half. Coach Gian Piero Gasperini praises his team: “The lads were commendable”.

First against Sampdoria in Genoa and now against Milan at the Gewiss Stadium, Atalanta gave some good answers.

“Yes, absolutely. Especially in terms of concentration and team spirit, as we’ve faced a strong side with a lot of strong players that came on in the second half. The lads were excellent. At some point, we began to relish the possibility of bringing the win home. There were a few good counter-attacks that could have led to a second goal. Their equaliser restored a fair result, all in all”.

However, Atalanta tried hard to bring a result home.

How is Djimsiti doing?

“We have to see. It was a big blow, he can’t put his leg down. Hopefully, his fibula isn’t affected. He was going for an X-ray and we’ll know about him soon”.
