The season also officially begins for the Atalanta Under 13 team coached by Paolo Giordani. The group will be made up of boys born in 2010. The Atalanta youngsters, after meeting up at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia, will continue their preparation in Serina from Sunday to Thursday. “Like every year – explains coach Giordani, in his eighth season at the helm of the U13s, the fifth one in a row – there is great enthusiasm and the desire to get to know the new group is very stimulating. We will spend a few days all together in Serina and it will be very important to get to know each other well. We’re starting off again after a good season that ended in the best possible way, and we hope to do well this year too, to make the boys grow and best prepare them for the Competitive Activity”.
The players born in 2010 pick up the baton from the boys born in 2009, who won the Under-13 national title a few months ago: “It was very nice and rewarding, especially for the boys because they have grown a lot, but also for all the work behind it. The Final Phase was a rollercoaster of emotions and the victory in the final was the climax. We are very happy and hope to do well again this year”.
Waiting for the league kick-off, the Under-13 team will compete in the 4th edition of the ‘Torneo Emiliano Mondonico’ in San Pellegrino Terme. Atalanta are in Group A with Torino, Venezia and Virtus Ciserano Bergamo.
