Atalanta was written in his destiny. He has never faced the Bergamo side as an opponent, as he was on the bench for Everton in the Europa League, while in the Champions League, in Lisbon, it was PSG who faced RB Leipzig. Ademola Lookman is officially an Atalanta player as of Thursday 4 August.

“I’m glad to be here actually because it’s been kind of a long time in terms of knowing about the interest of the club and how they were interested in me. Now I’m here and I can’t wait to get to work”.

He did not have to think much about it, the choice to come and play in Italy and wear the Atalanta shirt was an easy one.

“I think for me the platform Serie A is amazing. I think the club is a massive club, a massive one in Italy and plays attacking, great football. It was an easy decision to make”.

Who better to describe him as a player than Lookman himself?

“I’d say I’m explosive, I’m exciting. I like to score goals and to set up goals. I like to make things happen”.

He likes to attack and score goals on the pitch, while in his private life Ademola is more relaxed.

“I’m very chilled, I’m a very relaxed guy, I like to do things calmly”.

He has important goals to achieve for himself and thus for Atalanta.

“I hope to be as successful as I can with the team. The most important thing is the team, and for us to win games and contribute as much as I can”. 

While waiting to see him at work, the Nerazzurri fans, via social media, gave him their warm welcome to Atalanta.
