Today is the first day of pre-season for the Under-16s as well, as the team officially met up this morning at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia to kick off their new season. The squad underwent the usual medical and physical tests according to the FIGC Protocol.
The team will be made up of players born in 2007 and will be coached by Giovanni Bosi, who is fresh from his campaign with the Under-18 team. “It’s a new experience for me too, as I have never coached the Under-16 team, although I’ve already been at the helm of the U17s. I believe in this group and I know them well. I watched them play last year and I’m convinced that it will be an interesting and educational experience for me as well. Let’s hope these guys can improve through our work. At their age, they are willing to learn and to do: I think they must be free to express their quality”.
The final goal is always the same: “Our purpose is to improve the lads. The first thing I tell my players is that there are no shortcuts in football: the only way is to work and to believe in what you do. In the end, it is always the pitch that decides the players’ fate”.
