The friendly match against Como, a Serie B side, ended 4-0 at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia. All goals were scored in the second half: Palomino, Éderson, Zortea and Lammers were on the scoresheet.

The Nerazzurri almost took the lead through Zapata in the 40th minute, as the Colombian turned inside the box and fired but his shot was saved by Ghidotti. Minutes before half-time, captain Toloi also had an attempt, as his finish was inches wide.

In the second half, Zapata threatened again with a stubborn move and then it was Musso who smothered Cerri’s finish on 63 minutes. The deadlock was broken in the 66th minute through Palomino, who nodded in from a corner kick, and Éderson doubled the Nerazzurri’s lead assisted by Zapata on 69 minutes. In the final minutes, Como threatened with an angled drive from Kerrigan, but another goal was added in the 88th minute: Lammers’ cross from the right found Zortea, who volleyed into the far bottom corner. A fourth goal was added in the 89th minute, as Lammers made his way through the defence and found the back of the net.

The team will now enjoy a day off, as the preparations are set to resume on Monday 25 July in the afternoon at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia (the training session will be behind closed doors).
