2021/22 Premio Brembo ceremony in Zingonia

The 2021-2022 “Premio Brembo” ceremony took place at the Accademia Favini, which is the Nerazzurri Academy’s headquarters situated at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia.
It was the fourth edition of the project designed together with Brembo, the Nerazzurri’s Academy’s Top Sponsor, who pays special attention to the young players’ development not only in terms of sport but also in terms of values and virtues. This year again, the boys and girls who stood out the most from the Primavera to the Under-15s were awarded different prizes, according to criteria based not only on sporting achievements but also on academic performance and behaviour. Special awards were given to Jacopo Sassi, Davide Agliardi and Gabriel Bugli for their commitment and behaviour.

Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi did the honours at the ceremony: “I’d like to thank Brembo once again for launching this initiative. The fact that a big Bergamasco family, as well as a highly important local company, established this award shows their professionalism, long-term outlook and their special bond with the territory. To the young boys and girls, I can only say that we are well aware of the sacrifices they’ve made since they were little and that’s why we’re greatly proud of them and that’s why they represent Atalanta in the best possible way. We always repeat how important is to continue school and carry on with both activities because, from our experience, after graduating from Atalanta, the youngsters will be ready to face any adventure in their lives, in football and not. To be at Atalanta is like going to university: the young boys and girls will carry this experience with them for the rest of their lives”.

Afterwards, Cristina Bombassei, Chief Corporate Social Responsibility Officer of Brembo, offered a greeting: “We care a lot about this award because it’s an award for academic performance, ability to be on the pitch together with one’s colleagues, to organise and to face life in the right way. We’re proud to be here, I’m grateful to Atalanta for this opportunity because we’re talking about the aptitudes which are an added value and will help the young in their professional life, whether it’s fulfilling the dream of becoming footballers or finding themselves in other fields. Atalanta is a great school, from that point of view. In addition, you can feel Atalanta and their values across all the province of Bergamo”.

Roberto Cattaneo and Daniele Bettini from Brembo, the Nerazzurri Academy’s managers Maurizio Costanzi, Giancarlo Finardi, Stefano Bonaccorso, Loris Margotto, Stefano Cambiaghi as well as Marketing and Commercial Director Romano Zanforlin, Lucia Castelli, Atalanta’s educational psychologist and a “dea ex machina” of this awards, Don Mauro Palamini and Luca Pala from the “Casa del Giovane”, who host the young coming from other regions, were also present at the ceremony.
