Atalanta internationals: fixtures and results

The 2021/22 season is not yet considered over for the most part of the Nerazzurri squad. Plenty of Atalanta players, more precisely 13, are involved in international competitions and friendlies.

The Albiceleste with Juan Musso won the prestigious CONMEBOL–UEFA Cup of Champions. The “Finalissima” between the European Champions and the Copa América winners saw Argentina beat Matteo Pessina‘s Italy.

Ruslan Malinovskyi‘s Ukraine defeated Scotland 3-1 and are now one step away from the qualification for the World Cup as on Sunday they fight to get a pass to Qatar 2022 in the fixture against Wales in Cardiff. Against Scotland, Ruslan played 72 minutes and provided a crucial pass for the Ukrainian side’s opener.

As for the Nations League, the competition is to kick off on Thursday 2 June.
Giorgio Scalvini is called up to the Azzurri and, together with Pessina, are to compete in the Nations League. Italy are in Group C with Germany, Hungary and England. The first fixture of the tournament, which is against Germany, is scheduled for Saturday 4 June with kick-off at 20:45 CEST.

The Orange, Hans Hateboer and Teun Koopmeiners, are set for the Nations League and face Belgium, Poland and Wales twice. The opening match, which will see the Netherlands take on Belgium, is on Friday 3 June at 20:45 CEST. Albania with Berat Djimsiti visit Iceland on Monday 6 June at 20:45 CEST, within the Nations League campaign too, then host Israel and, finally, play in a home friendly against Estonia.

The Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain and again Portugal – these are the opponents of Remo Freuler‘s Switzerland.

Valentin Mihaila has also been called up to Romania to face Montenegro twice (the first match is on Saturday 4 June at 20:45 CEST), Bosnia and Finland in the Nations League, too. Merih Demiral‘s Turkey host the Faroe Islands on Saturday 4 June at 20:45 CEST before they visit Lithuania and Luxembourg to get back home and take on Lithuania again.

Mæhle and Pašalić have been drawn in the same group and will go head-to-head as Denmark play Croatia on Tuesday 10 June at 20:45 CEST. Joakim’s Denmark are also to face France (Friday 3 June at 20:45 CEST) and Austria beforehand and, after the clash with Croatia, the Danish side will again take on Austria. On the other hand, Mario’s Croatia play Austria (Friday 3 June at 20:45 CEST), France, Denmark and again France in this order.

The Ivorians with Jérémie Boga play in the qualifiers for the next Africa Cup and have fixtures against Zambia (Friday 3 June at 21:00 CEST) and Lesotho (Monday 9 June at 21:00 CEST), as they are in Group H.
