Giovanni Sartori entered the Hall of Fame

The Technical Area Manager of Atalanta BC, Giovanni Sartori, has received an important award, thus entering the Italian Football Hall of Fame. After President Antonio Percassi in 2020, another Nerazzurri manager receives this prestigious award introduced by FIGC (the Italian Football Federation) and Fondazione Museo del Calcio (the Football Museum Foundation) in 2011 in order to celebrate players, coaches, referees and managers who have made an unforgettable impact on the history of Italian football. The Jury, who has to elect the Hall of Fame components each year, is made up of the directors of the main sports journals and vote for the winner in each category. The awarding committee of the FIGC gathered together on 3 February and, in the presence of the Federal President Gabriele Gravina and the General Secretary Marco Brunelli, proclaimed the new members of the Hall of Fame of Italian football. One of them is now Giovanni Sartori, who has won the award in the category “Italian Manager”.

“I’m proud – Giovanni Sartori commented on the award – to receive such a prestigious and important award. I’d like to thank President Gabriele Gravina, the whole Federation and, of course, the Jury who have voted for me”. “I’d like to share this award – the Nerazzurri Technical Area Manager went on – with all the people who, in these 29 years of my career, first at ChievoVerona of the Campedelli family and then at Atalanta of the Percassi family, gave me the possibility to develop my ideas, collaborating and appreciating my work”.

On behalf of the whole Atalanta family, we’d like to congratulate the Manager on this prestigious award.
