It is a great honour to host the Azzurri’s match at the Gewiss Stadium. A fixture of our Senior National team returns to our city after 14 years: this is another tribute to Bergamo and to all the people of Bergamo hit so hard by an invisible but devastating enemy.

I thank the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and its President Gabriele Gravina for chasing the Gewiss Stadium as venue for this Nations League match.

Let me also add that seeing the Italian national team in our stadium is a source of great pride and satisfaction: a goal achieved also thanks to those who for a year and a half have been working hard to refurbish Atalanta’s home.
