It is always one of the truest and sincerest moments. Visiting the paediatric wards of the Hospital Papa Giovanni XXIII in Bergamo always gives us emotions that are difficult to describe. It is impossible to find the right words, as any word would not be able to describe how we feel… The expectation, joy and happiness you can see in the eyes of hospitalized children is something priceless… Giving a smile to a child makes this particular time of the year more special and beautiful.

Also important was the meeting in the Management Office with Beatrice Stasi, the Director-General of the Hospital Papa Giovanni XXIII, Fabio Pezzoli, Health Director, Luigia Iamele, Head of the Public Relations Officer, Lorenzo D’Antiga, Director of Paediatrics Unit, Patrizia Ghilardi, Head of Healthcare Professions and Coordinator of voluntary associations of the Paediatric Unit, Milena Lazzaroni, President of the Associazione Amici della Pediatria (Friends of Paediatrics Association), together with Roberto Spagnolo, COO Atalanta, Tullio Gritti, assistant coach, and captain Rafael Toloi. It was an opportunity to take stock of the projects carried out, those in progress and those scheduled for the future, having the same passion and enthusiasm that a team deserves… For a smile on the children’s face in the hospital.
