On matchday 19 of the 2021-2022 Serie A TIM, the final match of 2021 as well as the final round of the first half of the season ends 0-0 at the stadium Ferraris in Genoa.

It was a balanced first half, and Zapata had the best chance after six minutes but his right foot shot was parried by Sirigu. Then the Genoa defenders cleared a few balls in their half to deny the Nerazzurri. Just before half-time, Gasperini lost Zapata to injury, who was replaced by Muriel. During the second half, the Nerazzurri tried hard to win despite an overall balance. Koopmeiners’ long-range strike was beaten away by Sirigu and Demiral first and Piccoli then threatened with a header in the final minutes. However, the 0-0 was the final scoreline. The Nerazzurri round off the first half of the season on 38 points, setting a record for points in the history of the club.
