It’s a great pity that the Nerazzurri suffered a setback against Hellas Verona. The team are solid, the commitment never lacks but, unfortunately, as Davide Zappacosta said: “This is a bad time”.

Davide Zappacosta, what can we say? Atalanta are still going through a bad time.

“This bad time continues and it’s a great pity as we’ve been working hard, the team always give their all. But we’re lacking the most important things, perhaps a bit of serenity and clear-mindedness, the personality that would have helped to make better passes, score more and, especially play better”.

Now you have to pull together, don’t you?

“Yes, by all means. The squad is and has always been solid, anyway. We have to work harder. We have to regain serenity, as I said before because we must try harder to play better. It’s not enough what we’re doing now. We must work harder on the character aspects rather than on commitment, as this one never lacks. The result might not have changed”.

Is there a reason to complain about, which is not giving the second bookable offence and, therefore, a red card to Gunter?

“These decisions are up to referees. It certainly makes us angry because there are rules, a player can be booked or not. To my mind, that foul was bookable, even if committed in the 20th minute of the first half. However, the referee made his decision. But we can’t focus on these things and think it’s the others’ fault every time. As I’ve said, we have to try to do better. We’ve been lacking serenity and personality. When these things lack, it gets harder”.
